Southeast Missouri State University
Hello from the women of Alpha Phi at
Southeast Missouri State University,
Kappa Gamma Chapter.
We are so excited that you are here!
Take look around and see what we are all about!
My name is Emma Pauly, and I am honored to be this year's 2023-2024 Chapter President of Alpha Phi at Southeast Missouri State University. As President, I oversee the chapter, including events and operations within Alpha Phi and work with the rest of my Executive Board to ensure everything involving Alpha Phi runs smoothly.
When coming to college, I was so nervous about all the new things I would endure, and I was unsure about going through recruitment. I questioned whether I could balance the demands of academics, extracurriculars, and the commitments that come with being a member of a sorority. I ended up taking a leap of faith and went through recruitment and found my home in Alpha Phi. The women I met in Alpha Phi made my doubts go away and I have never had any regrets about my decision. Joining this chapter has not only enriched my college experience, but also provided me with invaluable opportunities for personal growth and irreplaceable friendships.
To be blunt, if someone would have told me that I would eventually be Chapter President, I would have told them they were crazy. I was always an introvert and never put myself out there growing up. Having a leadership position like this was never something I saw myself doing. As my time in Alpha Phi progressed, I truly grew to love this chapter and I wanted to be a part of its growth. I have gotten the privilege to watch this chapter thrive and I am so thankful to be a part of that. I have learned so much about myself and my abilities as a leader, and I owe it all to Alpha Phi.
My biggest piece of advice for anyone is to put yourself out there. You really don’t know what you could be missing until you pursue it. I have Alpha Phi to thank for so much and the women in this chapter are like no other. Alpha Phi has been the one constant for me over the past three. years and I truly cannot express how thankful I am for this chapter. This sisterhood really is like no other and, like we always say, you truly are never alone in Alpha Phi.
With love,
Emma
